Todd Butler is currently a course lecturer at Howard Community College and an active clinician and trumpet instructor, visiting many schools and festivals and working with over 50 weekly private trumpet students.

In addition to being an accomplished professional trumpet player and Yamaha endorsed artist, Todd has been an educator for over 25 years. In that time, Todd has taught college courses such as Music Business, American Popular Music and Music Fundamentals and is a former faculty member of Loyola College of Maryland, Community College of Baltimore County, Harford Community College, Friends School of Baltimore, Sudbrook Center for the Arts and St. Paul's Schools.

As a trumpet instructor, Todd has helped hundreds of students find fun and enjoyment in music while drastically improving their skills and learning about music of all different styles. Having developed a practical, straight-forward approach to teaching Jazz improvisation that is very accessible to students, Todd has the unique ability to take anxiety and fear out of playing improvised solos.

Todd's students have excelled in their school bands, county and state bands, solo & ensemble festivals, college auditions and have earned partial and full college scholarships as well as other accolades.

Todd Butler is available as a clinician, adjudicator, instructor, lecturer and guest soloist.
